Essential Job Duties That Must Be Safely Performed with or Without Reasonable Accommodation:

  • Provide compassionate care and to advocate for our resident’s while being respectful and empathetic of their needs.

  • Carry out the administration of medications, treatment and care of each resident as prescribed in the care plan.

  • Update charts, CNA assignments and nursing care plans with accurate information as changes occur.

  • Responsible for resident admissions discharges and transfers.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of paperwork involved in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.

  • Responsible for receiving and documenting receipt of medications from pharmacy.  Put medications away in med carts/med rooms after receipt. (Routine medication orders are normally delivered on 3-11 or 11-7 shift)

  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information at all times.           

  • Attend mandatory facility in-services and license staff meetings at least 4 times per year; keep abreast of current trends in nursing care and show interest in continued growth.

 

Required Job Skills:

  • Sufficient knowledge of nursing practices and techniques to provide a high level of resident care (see required competencies listed below).

  • Effective communication on an interpersonal level, both written and verbal.

  • Cooperative and effective work style within an interdisciplinary team.

  • Certified in CPR.

 

Education/Experience: Current LPN licensure in the State of Maine and a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
