Director of Nursing
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team at the Tulsa Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare. As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. Responsibilities:
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the overall operations of the Nursing Services department, ensuring compliance with current state and federal laws and regulations.
Interprets and communicates policies and procedures to nursing staff, monitors staff practices and implementation, and participates in daily or weekly management team meetings.
Evaluates work performance of all nursing personnel, implements discipline according to operational policies, and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and termination of nursing personnel.
Oversees nursing schedules to ensure resident needs, regulatory, and budget standards are met.
Conducts rounds to observe residents and ensure nursing needs are being met, and promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.
Participates in all infection control programs, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures to prevent the development and transmission of disease and infection.
Assists in the preparation of inspection surveys, including staff in-services on survey processes, and participates in mock surveys as indicated.
Protects residents from abuse, neglect, and mistreatment, and reports any allegations of abuse or neglect to the Administrator and/or state agency.
Requirements:
A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
At least three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or other related health care facility.
Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
Current CPR certification.
