Personal Qualifications



  • Is committed to a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ.

  • Demonstrates the Fruits of the Spirit in his/her daily walk with Jesus Christ.

  • Follows the Matthew 18 principle when dealing with students, faculty, parents and administration.

  • Serves as a Christian role model in conduct and of cleanliness and modesty, in agreement with the OCS Staff Handbook.


 


Professional Qualifications



  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university.

  • Possesses a current State of Iowa teaching license or is in the process of recertifying/obtaining it.

  • Physical Education Endorsement

  • Willingness to continue progress in career development.

  • Knowledge of computer technology or willingness to learn.


 


Job Description



  • Provide instruction using the curriculum given and approved by the OCS Board.

  • Integrate Biblical principles and perspectives throughout all curricula from a Biblical worldview.

  • Possess necessary computer skills to use the Chromebooks, PraxiSchool, and Gmail.

  • Minister in the field of education by discipleship and communication of faith to the next generation.

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with students, parents, faculty, and administration.

  • Follow all guidelines and procedures set in the OCS Staff Handbook.
