Position: Project Manager

IMRI is seeking dynamic, forward-thinking Project Management professionals ready to take charge of large-scale IT infrastructure initiatives that directly impact schools, students, and communities. The selected Project Manager will work closely with School District IT leadership, project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support the implementation, upgrade, and management of district technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Infrastructure Oversight:

  • Manage the installation, construction, and upgrade of low-voltage IT systems, including but not limited to: Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless Networks (WLAN), Voice over IP (VoIP) systems, IP Public Address / Intercom systems, IP Video Camera and security systems

  • Coordinate technology infrastructure deployments within large campus, school district, or government environments.

  • Develop, review, and monitor project schedules and milestones.

  • Ensure project activities align with district standards, timelines, and budget constraints.

Project Planning & Documentation:

  • Review and approve Statements of Work (SOW), technical designs, and Bills of Material (BOM).

  • Gather and analyze data to support the development of project budgets and cost estimates.

  • Prepare project management plans, schedules, and recovery plans to ensure contract and project requirements are met.

  • Develop and maintain project status reports, issue logs, and resolution tracking.

  • Prepare clear and concise written reports and documentation.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:

  • Manage and coordinate project resources, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Conduct site visits, project meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions.

  • Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to district leadership.

  • Formulate and present ideas clearly and effectively in both written and verbal communication.

Project Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track and maintain project expenditures, job tickets, and resource allocations.

  • Develop and manage critical path schedules.

  • Generate project status updates and completion notifications.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret statistical and budgetary project information.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret design documentation, engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.

  • Monitor project performance and recommend improvements to processes and project delivery.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with district personnel, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.

  • Set priorities and ensure project tasks are completed within established deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of previous work experience as a Project Manager

  • Experience managing IT infrastructure or low-voltage technology projects within large organizations, educational institutions, or government environments.

  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, telecommunications systems, and security technology deployments.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, schedules, and budgets.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to various district sites as needed.

  • Valid California Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with district personnel and partner organizations.

  • Candidates must reside within 30 miles of Los Angeles.
