SLIDE ATTENDANT

Position Summary

Slide Attendants monitor waterslide towers and dispatch areas, assist guests, and support a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience throughout the park’s attractions.

 

Essential Functions

  • Maintain surveillance of slide towers and dispatch areas.
  • Control slide flow and guest organization to ensure safe operations.
  • Respond to guest and employee emergencies and alert appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain proficiency in park knowledge, basic life support, and first aid skills.
  • Attend scheduled trainings and participate in regular skill audits.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of assigned areas.
  • Practice safe work habits, including proper lifting and hazard reporting.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Provide professional, friendly service to all guests.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm, recognize safety concerns, and make sound decisions.
  • Willingness to comply with grooming guidelines and employment standards.
  • Ability to successfully complete all legal, company, and departmental training requirements.


Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and respond quickly to operational needs.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Pre-Employment & Certification Requirements

Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining SGE Basic Life Support certification and completion of all required training programs.

Hawaiian Falls hosts pre-employment certification classes at an approximate cost of $25, which covers the certification course.
