Job Description

The Right-Of-Way (ROW) Agent acts on behalf of Transglobal Services, LLC (TGS) and its clients in negotiating easements and land rights from property owners.

 

Specific Position Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:

  • Negotiate and obtain signed ROW Agreements with the pertinent landowners on behalf of the TGS client.
  • Contacting and working with landowner's attorneys, when necessary
  • Utilize Title reports provided by the Title Department to identify and verify the landowners
  • Research landowner's contact information via online resources
  • Act as the liaison between TGS and landowners
  • Establish relationships and build rapport with landowners by communicating: the details of the project, the process for acquiring ROWs, and potential impacts along the proposed pipeline route
  • Identity specific concerns landowners may have with the proposed route and facilities. Then work with landowners, project engineers, and environmental specialists to address these concerns
  • Determine construction feasibility
  • Obtain survey permission
  • Document construction provisions
  • Settle any potential damages
  • Permitting needs, including County and TxDOT permits
  • Physically drive to the client’s offices, and to landowners’ properties, for signed contracts, payments, and other associated project needs
  • Work with the Land Administration team to edit documentation to fit the client's or landowner's needs
  • Communicate and collaborate with other TGS project personnel

 

Education and/or Experience

  • 3-5 years of direct experience in land acquisition in the Permian Basin for the oil and gas industry.
  • Current license as a TREC Easement and Right-of-Way Agent
  • Texas Notary Public
  • Physically located in the Midland, TX region
  • Must have strong negotiation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Outstanding communications skills: written, oral, and active listening
  • Responds quickly and works with a sense of urgency
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up with daily oversight
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work successfully under rapidly changing priorities
  • Strong teamwork/interpersonal skills; the ability to work/relate with others and lead by example
  • Stable and motivated in a long-term growth position with TGS

 

Responsibilities

The ROW Agent must be able to swiftly and accurately fulfill the scope of the title requested and submit final deliverables within the expected timeframe given for the project.

Strong communication skills, focus, attention to detail, and experience are needed to be successful. Also is a source of title knowledge for other Team Members.

 

Work Environment

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment, and routines use office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands

Primarily in an office environment. 

Driving is required for business-necessary travel.

 

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday.
