| Position Summary | The Department of Philosophy at the University of New Mexico is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, tenure-stream position in Continental Philosophy and Analytic Ethics at the rank of Assistant Professor. The anticipated start date is August 9, 2027. AOS: Continental Philosophy; AOC: Open, but must include Analytic Ethics. Customary undergraduate and graduate teaching duties, including thesis supervision, and non-teaching duties in Philosophy. We are seeking an outstanding scholar who combines a research specialization in Continental Philosophy with the ability to teach Analytic Ethics; who is able to teach courses that contribute to the Department’s undergraduate major programs as well as its graduate curriculum; who will enjoy working in a philosophically pluralistic department; and who has a demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as to working with broadly diverse communities. Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with rank and experience. For best consideration, please apply by 15, April, 2026.
