Job Description

Overview: The Field Sales Representative will drive a positive relationship with distributor network at the branch level – motivating Branch, District, and Account Managers to grow and develop Polar’s position in the category. They will work an account base determined by the area sales manager with flexibility to make changes based on feedback, ad activity, and distributor needs. The ideal candidate has worked with local retailers, within a DSD network (beer, wine/spirits, or non-alcoholic) and knows how to communicate with different levels of stakeholders both internally and externally.

The position will be focusing on the South Seattle/Puget Sound territory: South Puget Sound, Kent, Tacoma and Olympia.
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Focuses on Mass, Grocery, Drug and Regional Retailers 
  • Develops relationship with each branch and is comfortable motivating the account facing sales team to maintain inventory and sell incremental Polar displays
  • Plans weekly/daily approach to territory with consideration toward overall corporate goals, objectives, quotas and programs 
  • Drives incremental display activity by offering consistent selling and merchandising support at the store level. Comfortable challenging and developing the distributor network’s capabilities to sell in/prioritize Polar Seltzer
  • Aids with Field Marketing (i.e. Sampling & Events) as needed  

 Minimum Requirements: 

  • 2-3 Years Sales experience 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Reliable vehicle and good driving record 
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more 
  • Excellent written and communication skills 
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule 
  • Excellent time manager and self-starter – is able to achieve goals and excellent retail execution independently
  • Understands CPG Insights Data – SPINS, Nielsen, Shipment Data
