The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, shrink control, compliance, and inventory processes across the store. This role ensures proper receiving, auditing, reporting, and corrective actions to support financial integrity, operational execution, and audit readiness while partnering closely with Store Leadership and department managers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Inventory Accuracy & Shrink Control- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
- Monitor and analyze shrink results, identify root causes, and implement corrective action plans.
- Partner with Asset Protection and Store Leadership to reduce shrink and improve inventory controls.
- Ensure accurate execution of markdowns, write‑offs, transfers, and disposals.
- Oversee receiving processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of deliveries, invoices, credits, and discrepancies.
- Maintain organized, secure, and compliant backroom and storage areas.
- Monitor temperature controls, storage standards, and handling procedures where applicable.
- Prepare for and support internal, external, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory procedures, financial controls, and loss prevention policies.
- Maintain inventory, receiving, and compliance documentation accurately and timely.
- Review reports and metrics to ensure variances are identified and resolved.
- Train, coach, and support department managers and receiving teams on inventory and receiving best practices.
- Provide guidance on inventory controls, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- May supervise inventory control or receiving associates and prioritize daily workflow.
- Hold teams accountable for adherence to inventory and receiving standards.
- Partner with Store Director, Assistant Store Director, Department Managers, and Asset Protection to support storewide goals.
- Support new store openings, remodels, and process changes related to inventory control.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by Store Leadership.

Pay Transparency:
Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay*, PTO/Vacation pay*, paid holidays*, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.
*For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.
