Schedule: Monday – Friday


Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Certification / Authorization Clerk to verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations for patient services. This role works closely with patients, providers, and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate processing of authorizations and billing support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Verify insurance and obtain required authorizations 
  • Update patient insurance and demographic information 
  • Assist with billing issues and denied claims 
  • Collaborate with staff to resolve patient account concerns 
  • Ensure accurate coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) 
  • Respond to inquiries from patients, staff, and payers 
  • Document account activity and maintain accurate records 
  • Stay current on insurance requirements and processes 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 
  • Prior authorization experience preferred (will train the right candidate) 
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills 
  • Basic computer and math skills 
  • Knowledge of medical coding and insurance processes preferred 
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work independently
