Dollar Bank is hiring a Security Operations Engineer. The incumbent will play an integral role in supporting Dollar Bank’s ability to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its information assets.  This role is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enforcing multiple cyber security standards, processes, and initiatives.  Additionally, the position will be responsible for day-to-day cyber security operations, threat hunting, and internal threat intelligence. Successful candidates possess attention to detail, self-motivation, and can think outside of the box. This is a hybrid position which requires office hours and occasional evening and weekend availability to participate in critical issue calls or scheduled changes and updates.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma/GED required. College degree strongly preferred.

Five (5) years hands-on information security, data privacy, or related IT/IS experience.

Certificate, Licenses and Registration Requirements:

One security certification such as GSEC, SSCP, or other security certification.

Candidates without certifications must be willing to obtain one within 12 months of hire.

Ability to develop, maintain, adhere to and update security standards.

Analysis and review of projects and initiatives to identify security gaps.

Excellent planning, time management and prioritization skills.

Effective research and written/verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively within cross functional teams

Strong attention to detail

Ability to think critically and problem solve


Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferred:

Knowledge of technology industry, trends, and best practices for security industry.

Ability to establish project goals, milestones, and deadlines while identifying specific resource needs to meet business objectives.

Standards and process documentation experience.

Team leadership skills.

Cloud Security, SOAR and Security DevOPs knowledge.

Essential Functions:

Design, maintain and implement security solutions in a distributed systems environment.

Perform security analysis, risk and threat assessments for network infrastructure and applications.

Assist in identifying security risks and threats by participating in security reviews, evaluations, and risk assessments.

Gather, analyze, and respond to security log, report data and trending analysis.

Support and enforce Data Security standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures.

Assess and remediate active exploits and malware infections company-wide with 24/7 incident response.

Support all Bank compliance efforts (i.e., PCI, OCC, FFIEC, SOX).

Base line setting and implementation of security tools.

Serve as the IT Security subject matter expert to mentor and support analyst team, guiding team objectives and priorities.

Work independently and proactively to complete projects and address critical issues and problems.
