REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Conduct routine quality assurance inspections in production areas and report results.
  • Develop new tools and procedures for operators to prevent quality issues and provides training on quality control.
  • Collect, inspect, test and file retained samples from Operators and record results in database or daily quality reports. 
  • Assist in resolving quality issues and customer complaints in collaboration with manufacturing personnel.
  • Inspect products on quality hold or returned from customers and report results.
  • Calibrate lab equipment as per the calibration program.
  • Participate in the product development process by conducting lab tests, preparing handmade samples and monitoring trials.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

    

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 12-hour continental day shifts. 
  • Good attendance, quality record and colour vision
  • Relevant Technical Diploma or Certificate from a college or university or 5 years experience in QA Lab environment in the flexible packaging industry.
  • Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing Training an asset
  • Experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in blow film operations or plastic film testing an asset.
