About the role

Are you a skilled electrical or instrumentation engineer with a strong technical foundation in industrial automation and equipment control? As a Senior Engineer, Control & Instrumentation, you will play a key role in developing, standardizing, and supporting electrical and instrumentation solutions for cement‑plant applications. You will work across proposal, project‑execution, and product‑engineering environments—preparing specifications, selecting instruments, evaluating vendor documentation, supporting factory acceptance testing, and ensuring high‑quality engineering outputs. You will collaborate closely with Product Specialists, global teams, and suppliers while contributing to the continuous improvement of our electrical libraries and standards.

About the department

You will be part of the Plant Engineering department. As a part of Pyro & Grinding, we provide sustainable technologies for both new and existing cement installations. Our objective is to deliver reliable, safe, and standardized solutions that meet process needs, support consistent operation, and align with Fuller engineering practices and equipment standards. We are committed to delivering true value to our customers' assets while aligning with the industry's sustainability goals.

You will be part of global team while affiliated to our office in Chennai (India).

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare and release technical specifications for electrical and mechanical items associated with project orders.
  • Develop basic engineering documents including flow diagrams, load lists, instrument lists, signal lists, interconnection lists, and plant‑function specifications.
  • Select and specify instruments and maintain supplier price agreements.
  • Provide electrical proposal support during early project stages.
  • Evaluate vendor documentation to ensure technical correctness and alignment with project requirements.
  • Prepare functional specifications in collaboration with Product Specialists and suppliers; participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests).
  • Prepare spare‑parts lists and support site visits for project assistance, analysis, or audits.
  • Maintain and develop Electrical Libraries and common standards for cement projects.
  • Collaborate with Product Specialists to ensure consistent data and documentation across products.
  • Actively contribute to team‑based working environments and the completion of shared goals.
  • Provide site support during erection and construction for electrical related troubleshooting and practical solutions.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Similar Role/Industry/Organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Fuller pyro and grinding equipment, process fundamentals, and associated electrical/control requirements.
  • Proficiency in engineering fundamentals and industrial electrical standards (IEC/NEMA).
  • Experience in equipment erection, commissioning, or maintenance is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of electrical and instrumentation design requirements and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Fuller design standards, quality systems, and engineering procedures.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and prioritization skills for managing concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with virtual project teams across cultures and locations.
  • Good communication skills in English and proficiency with IT tools; AutoCAD drafting experience is an advantage.
  • Self‑motivated, positive, quality‑focused mindset with a continuous‑improvement approach.
  • Willingness to travel for site studies, audits, or operational support.
  • Strong quality focus, time management, and problem‑solving; ability to coordinate across cultures and motivate/design‑review teams.
  • Good IT and communication skills.
