We are seeking a highly skilled Sigma Developer to join our Finance Enterprise Applications team. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building the analytics and visualization layer that will serve as the "insight engine" for our global Finance organization.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Financial Systems, you will be the subject matter expert for Sigma. Your primary responsibility is to transform complex financial data into beautiful, intuitive, and high-performance dashboards and analytical applications that are secure and SOX-compliant by design. You will work directly with data from our core financial systems—especially complex Zuora, Billing, and CPQ schemas—to deliver the clear, real-time revenue insights that our business depends on.
- Advanced Sigma Development: As the lead developer, you will own the end-to-end creation of our financial reporting ecosystem in Sigma. You will build and optimize dynamic, interactive workbooks, architect reusable components, and push the limits of the platform to deliver a world-class user experience.
- Data Modeling in Sigma: You will consume data from the finance semantic layer in Snowflake and use Sigma’s data modeling capabilities to prepare, join, and enrich data for optimal performance and analytical flexibility within your dashboards.
- Secure & Compliant Design: Design and implement a robust security model within Sigma, utilizing role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure all analytics adhere strictly to SOX compliance and data governance policies.
- AI-Enhanced Analytics: Go beyond traditional BI by leveraging Snowflake Cortex AI functions directly within your Sigma analyses to embed predictive forecasts and anomaly detection into your dashboards, providing proactive insights to the business.
- Revenue Reporting & QTC Expertise: Apply your deep data skills to master our complex Quote-to-Cash datasets. You will be responsible for building the definitive Sigma dashboards for all revenue, subscription, and billing analysis.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate directly with stakeholders in Accounting and FP&A to understand their most difficult analytical challenges. Translate their requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions in Sigma that they love to use.
- 7-14 years of hands-on experience in a data analytics, BI development, or analytics engineering role.
- Expert-level developer proficiency in Sigma is mandatory. This includes building the data modeling layer within Sigma, writing custom SQL, and creating complex, high-performance workbooks from scratch.
- Proven experience implementing and managing role-based access controls (RBAC) in a BI platform (preferably Sigma) to meet SOX compliance requirements.
- A strong command of advanced SQL and the ability to work with complex data structures is essential.
- Mandatory experience analyzing and building reports on complex Quote-to-Cash data schemas (Zuora, Billing, CPQ).
- Demonstrated ability to leverage modern data tools, with hands-on experience or a strong interest in using Snowflake Cortex AI or LLMs (like Gemini) for analytical purposes.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles, the financial close process, and FP&A reporting requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
