JOB SUMMARY



A Porter’s basic function usually involves maintaining cleanliness, appearance, and safety standards of facility. 



Pay: $20.20 an hour- approx. $42,000 annually.



FLSA: Non-exempt. Eligible for overtime.



Schedule: 11am-7pm Thursday - Monday (Tuesday and Wednesday off)



Location: Rego Park Queens, NY



 



JOB-RELATED DUTIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



           These duties are essential and specific to the successful implementation of this position.



Perform basic maintenance tasks each workday including:




  • Trash removal

  • Front lobby and facility support

  • Sweeping, cleaning and mopping rooms and areas as needed.

  •  Follow all maintenance tasks assigned by supervisor.

  • Determine workplace hazards and exposures that could harm employees and by extension the environment and report it immediately.

  • Ensure staff are practicing safe working techniques learned in trainings.

  • Maintains Compliance with CHI’s Health and Safety Program.

  • Promote Safety initiatives and inspect all equipment prior to use. 

  • Emergency Preparedness- attend yearly training on active shooter drills, de-escalation training, and ensure that all emergency supplies on site are present and accounted for.
