Job Description

About the role

  • The Outreach Coordinator position will strengthen the mission of ABCFM by raising awareness, inspiring engagement, recruiting foster parents and building ministry partnerships in churches and communities in Garland and Saline Counties primarily, and occasionally in Pulaski County. The OC serves as a vital connector of churches, organizations and individuals to the ministries of ABCFM. This role requires flexible work hours that occasionally include an evening or weekend event.

What you'll do

  • Uphold and integrate the mission and values of Arkansas Baptist Children & Family Ministries.
  • Promote support FOR children & families THROUGH ABCFM within local churches and communities.
  • Encourage volunteerism, advocacy, fostering, donating, and engagement.
  • Equip and mobilize people for practical partnership alongside ABCFM.
  • Share stories of transformation and opportunities to serve.
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities.
  • Conduct info meetings about how to get involved with ABCFM.
  • Communicate with churches, communities and individuals about the services ABCFM provides.
  • Support Director of Community Outreach in promoting ABCFM to churches and the community through tabling, booths, events and speaking engagements.
  • Collaborate with church staff for ABCFM ministry events, encouraging participation in packing grab and go kits, scheduling the toy bus, foster care, etc.
  • Document ministry activities to gather monthly or quarterly in a report.
  • Provide monthly engagement report to Director of Community Outreach and Mission Advancement.
  • Other Duties as assigned by Director of Community Outreach

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Foster care experience preferred, but not required.
  • Communication and Networking skills a must, with a proven ability of building and maintaining meaningful relationships.
  • Actively involved church member in SBC/like-minded church.
  • Passion for Gospel-Centered orphan care.
