PART-TIME: BARRINGTON RI POLICE/FIRE DEPARTMENT DISPATCHER
Barrington Public Safety is seeking a part-time Police/Fire Department Dispatcher to receive routine and emergency calls from the public requesting Police, Fire, Medical or other emergency services. Will be responsible for determining the nature and location of the emergency; assign priorities, and dispatch police, fire ambulance or other emergency units as necessary, and in accordance with established procedures.
Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent; excellent computer data entry knowledge (IMC experience preferred), multitasking skills-excellent customer service - and the ability to communicate clearly- experience in Municipal dispatch preferred.
Primary work schedule: 12:00 midnight to 8:00 AM (2) two consecutive nights per week. Additional hours available.
