As an Expeditor for Grand Café at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will deliver efficient and exceptional plated menu items while maintaining a sense of urgency in the execution of the expo line and fast-efficient clearing of tabletops throughout the restaurant.

What will you be doing?

·       Thoroughly understand the menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and expected service.

·       Deliver all required Service Accents to the guest (e.g., SSA presentation, bread presentation, horseradish/cheese grating, and dessert presentation)

·       Maintain a neat, clean, organized, safe work environment

·       Transport and polish clean wares, utensils, and accessories to area needed

·       Must be proficient in multi-tasking and bridging the service between the Front of House and Back of House

·       Must comply with opening and closing duties as well as running side work necessities

·       Communicate directly and consistently with the culinary and management team

·       Listen to and resolve customer complaints regarding service, product, and personnel

·       Must effectively process service responsibilities from service staff, such as from servers and bartenders

·       Has the ability to verbally describe and present the hotel’s food offerings in a professional manner

·       Perform other duties as assigned

 

What do you bring to the role?

·       High school or equivalent required

·       One year or more of service assistance experience in a fine dining outlet

·       Able to read, write, and speak in English

·       Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry

·       Ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel, and general public

·       Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
