About the Role

The Executive Officer has responsibility for the processes, tasks and activities that support and ensure the effectiveness and impact of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Enterprise and Digital. 

The role is a member of the Executive Services team within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and reports directly to the Senior Executive Officer. 

As the Executive Officer, you will be part of a highly collaborative team, working closely with the Senior Advisor to support the priorities of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Enterprise and Digital.

 

Salary: HEP 7 $97,863 - $105,932 per annum + 17% employer superannuation
Employment Type: Full-time - Ongoing
Hours: 36.75 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
Location: Footscray Park Campus

About You

  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the professionalism and discretion required to support executive-level leadership. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to develop and implement sound solutions, alongside a focus on continuous business improvement.
  • Highly developed skills in all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to support the creation of content that enables VU’s complete digital footprint.
  • Responsive, with the ability to deal with a high-volume workload, competing priorities and unexpected events, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
  • Collaborative working approach and a keen team player.

  • Diary Management and Leadership Effectiveness: effective management of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Enterprise and Digital’s time to ensure that they can effectively deliver their priorities and meet their accountabilities. 
  • Strategic and Executive Support: provide high quality and timely executive and administrative services on a range of strategic, and operational matters.
  • Planning and People: contribute to building a people-centric culture in the portfolio.
  • Financial and Resource Management: commit to ongoing financial cost constraint and prudent use of resources.
  • Social, Environmental and Financial Impact: commit to sustainable practice and action in all that the university does and ensure that decisions align with our commitment to protecting people, place and planet.
