Job Description

Description

This position is responsible for the oversight of the Sanitation department on 3rd shift to ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal regulations in order to guarantee the highest quality of product for our customers.  Must be available to work 3rd shift hours. 

 

  • Ensure that all personnel, equipment, materials, and areas of operation conform to all sanitation regulations. Also ensures all employees who engage in sanitation activities have been fully trained on and adhere to chemical safety and other safety requirements, GMPs and company policies
  • Create, update, and enforce Sanitation SOP's, enforce GMP's and ensure all federal and state regulations are met. Verify compliance by the sanitation crew, review and maintain proper documentation.
  • Organize job tasks to achieve the most efficient use of available personnel and resources.
  • Maintain close supervision of both personnel and operations through physical presence on the plant floor.

Requirements

       BS degree in Engineering or related field

       5+ years industrial sanitation supervisory experience with solid knowledge of sanitary food manufacturing practices, SQF, HACCP, FDA/USDA, and all related state and federal regulations

       Demonstrated ability to lead and manage sanitation teams to achieve superior results

       Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize

       Must be willing and able to work off-shift, weekends and holidays if needed

       Successful experience in leading and developing  teams in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

       Proven ability to work professionally with team members at all levels, both inside and outside the organization.  

       Strong communication, motivation, and leadership skills.

       Results driven with proven decision-making skills and high accountability

       Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, anticipate changing project needs, and meet deadlines.

       Thorough working knowledge of all current OSHA and Safety Standards

 

 

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.  Position will frequent the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required.  Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present.
