Job Description

HOURS: 30 HOURS PER WEEK

 

OBJECTIVES:

  • Analysis and inspection of complex projects, drawings/plans, and specifications to determine work scope for plumbing and hydronic system replacement and renovation in multi-family buildings
  • Assist estimators with software-based estimates for Hydronic, domestic, and drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping replacement projects and design-build projects; complete takeoffs, determine material quantities and costs, coordinate with equipment suppliers and subcontractors, and determine labor needs per system
  • Write detailed proposals which contain potential conflicts with plans and specifications from site conditions, including identifying exclusions and unknowns
  • Generate Contract scope exhibits, including project schedule of values, and produce labor and material pay budgets for Operations
  • Support Project Operations with material lists, change orders, scope clarifications, and audits
  • Interface and communicate with the Client to understand scope ambiguities, and coordinate bid proposals
  • General administrative work including generating meeting minutes, RFIs, Project-specific scope of work clarifications, specification auditing, and scheduling meetings

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in Office 365, specifically Excel and WORD in order to generate estimates and write proposals
  • General familiarity with building piping systems and basic understanding of construction nomenclature
  • Ability to work with diverse teams in a fast-paced construction environment managing multiple projects/tasks
  • Can maintain a focus on safety and quality in all aspects of work

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Junior, Senior, or Recent Graduate pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field of study
