Cellone’s Italian Bread Co. is looking for bakers!

Cellone’s bakes fresh Italian breads and rolls at our 110,000 sq ft commercial bakery in Pittsburgh, PA. The same family that operates the business today founded Cellone’s in 1911.

The Pan Bench is responsible for ensuring proper dough scaling into pans prior to final proofing. This position is responsible for successful operation of the peel board reciprocator. The Pan Bench must understand and follow all applicable regulations (GMP’s, quality systems, etc.) and standard operating procedures for this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Thorough knowledge of each pan product raw weight and size.

· Ability to correctly calibrate pan divider to scale dough into pans per product specifications.

· Correct set up of guides for

· Ability to promptly diagnose and troubleshoot production flow issues such as pans overlapping.

· Handle product changeovers efficiently and accurately.

· Knowledge of environmental factors affecting dough and adjustments required to retain quality (i.e. humidity).

· Responds quickly to quality or equipment issues and reports these to Shift Supervisor – Baking immediately.

· Maintains clean work area.

· Follows GMPs, safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications

· Ability to read and comprehend instruments and gauge settings

· Ability to visually assess for imperfections and quality issues and determine the source

· Use eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills necessary to adjust product length and correct issues

· Ability to multi-task using visual acuity and flexibility

Cellone’s is a Good Manufacturing Practices certified facility. All employees will be trained on GMPs and food safety rules.
