Catalyx is skilled PI Administrator / PI Engineer to
support, maintain, and enhance the Plant Information (PI) system within a
regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible
for ensuring reliable data collection, integrity, visualization, and
integration of real-time process data to support operations, quality,
compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
· Administer and maintain the PI System, including
Data Archive, Asset Framework (AF), and interfaces.
· Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and
ensure high availability and performance.
· Configure and manage PI interfaces to collect
data from DCS, SCADA, PLCs, and other systems.
· Develop and maintain AF structures, event
frames, and analytics.
· Integrate PI data with enterprise systems such
as MES, LIMS, and ERP platforms.
· Design and maintain dashboards, visualizations,
and reports for real-time process monitoring.
· Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency
across systems.
· Manage user access, security settings, and
system backups.
· Support system upgrades, patches, and
migrations.
· Ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity
standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Participate in system validation activities
(IQ/OQ/PQ) and maintain documentation.
· Support audits by providing system documentation
and evidence.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
translate business needs into technical solutions.
· Identify and implement system and process
improvements.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer
Science, Information Systems, or related field.
· 3+ years of experience with PI System
administration and/or engineering.
· Hands-on experience with PI components such as
Data Archive, AF, and visualization toolsintegration and system architecture.
· Familiarity with scripting or programming
languages (e.g., SQL, Python, PowerShell).
· Understanding of pharmaceutical or regulated
environments preferred.
· Knowledge of GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and data
integrity principles.
· Experience with computer system validation (CSV)
processes.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving
skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work
cross-functionally.
· Experience with industrial control systems (PLC,
SCADA, DCS).
