Description

To help maintain this standard, we are seeking an experienced service technician to help continue the growth of our organization. As an ideal candidate, we require an individual who is considered a “self-starter”, motivated to be successful and brings a team-first mentality. Additionally, you will need to display a proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team. Your ultimate responsibility is to provide exceptional mechanical support with the goal of helping to increase our overall growth within both the service and rental departments.

 

Requirements

  • Background in hydraulic, electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in a remote environment.
  • Accurately complete service documentation including daily time sheets, work orders, inspection checklists and parts usage. 
  • Clear communication with service advisors, office staff and customers as needed. 
  • Excel at problem-solving and being a “self-starter”.
  • Reading and operating a DVOM.
  • Installing and understanding of hydraulic testing equipment.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Experience with Kenworth, Western Star and Freightliner chassis recommended.
  • Display mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Clean driving records and ability to drive company vehicles without restrictions is required.

 

Working conditions

  • Responsibilities will split between shop-based and field service environments
  • May be exposed to noise, heat, working around heavy machinery
  • Must wear proper PPE and follow company safety guidelines.

 

Location

Rockaway, NJ

40-hour work week

OT available as needed

 

Salary Range

$25-$35 per hour based on experience
