2026 CCSD 46 Summer School Programs

An Overview of the Different Employment Opportunities for Staff

Teachers and Support Staff Needed


According to the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, the certified staff hourly rate will be $50. PSRP will receive their current hourly rate.


Summer Bridge Title I Summer School Program 


This program is available for identified students as our Title I summer school program for current students in grades K-4. This program is an opportunity for qualifying students to receive additional support and exposure in reading and math during the summer.

• 4 weeks from June 1 - June 25 (No School June 19)

• 9am-12pm Monday - Thursday

• Teacher onsite hours will be 30 minutes prior to student arrival and 30 minutes after student dismissal times

• Paraprofessional onsite hours will be 15 minutes prior to student arrival and 15 minutes after student dismissal times


Adelante/EL

Adelante (EL Summer School) is offered to any student who is an incoming Pre-kindergartener through seventh grader who has qualified for an English Learner Program or has exited from the program in the past year. It also includes any student who is part of the teacher of record model.

• 4 weeks from June 1 - June 25 (No School June 19)

ESY (Extended School Year)

This extended year program is for recommended students leaving grades Kindergarten through seventh grade. Teachers are required to have an LBS1 endorsement and will provide instructional services in a classroom setting. Other additional support staff will include Social Workers, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other special services as needed. 

• 4 weeks from June 1 - June 25 (No School June 19)

• 8am-11:15am Monday - Thursday

• Teacher onsite hours will be 30 minutes prior to student arrival and 30 minutes after student dismissal times

• Paraprofessional onsite hours will be 30 minutes prior to student arrival and 30 minutes after student dismissal times


PreK ESY (Extended School Year)

Classes are specifically designed for our Pre-Kindergarten students. Students only attend if recommended. Teachers must possess endorsements in Birth-Grade 3 or Special Education Early Childhood.

• 4 weeks from June 1 - June 25 (No School June 19)

• 8am-11:15am Monday - Thursday

• Teacher onsite hours will be 30 minutes prior to student arrival and 30 minutes after student dismissal times

• Paraprofessional onsite hours will be 30 minutes prior to student arrival and 30 minutes after student dismissal times


Teacher Assistants Needed


Assistants will be needed in most of these programs, but will be tied specifically to students’ needs. Per the PSRP contract all teacher assistants will receive their current (25-26) hourly rate. Hours will vary per program.
