Crisis Technician – $23.00/hr Starting Pay | The Arc of the Ozarks

We’re hiring Crisis Technicians to provide behavioral support, daily skill-building, and crisis intervention to individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring behavioral or psychiatric needs.




Pay & Incentives




  • $23.00 per hour starting wage



  • Experience-based pay available for qualified candidates



  • Annual wage increase opportunities

What You’ll Do




  • Support individuals with daily living skills (hygiene, cooking, cleaning, shopping)



  • Teach and reinforce coping skills to manage challenging behaviors



  • Use verbal de-escalation/redirection to maintain safety



  • Observe behaviors and follow individualized behavior support plans



  • Work hands-on in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment






Who We’re Looking For




  • 18+ years old with high school diploma or equivalent



  • At least 3 months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)



  • Knowledge of ABA, autism, or behavioral support, or willingness to learn



  • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and ability to obtain a Class E license



  • Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks



  • Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills






Training & Growth

    Weekday/daytime availability required for first 2 weeks of training.
