Crew Supervisor – Concrete Construction

Company: Knox Concrete Construction

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional weekends), start times as early as 6:00 AM

Pay: $32-$49 per hour (based on experience) + overtime

Job Overview

Knox Concrete Construction is seeking an experienced Crew Supervisor to lead and work alongside a small concrete crew. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily job site operations, ensuring quality work, maintaining safety standards, and keeping projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and work alongside a small crew on concrete projects
  • Assign daily tasks, prioritize work, and ensure timely project completion
  • Perform and oversee concrete pouring, finishing, and equipment operation
  • Monitor job site safety and enforce safe work practices
  • Train team members and provide performance feedback
  • Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
  • Order and manage materials for assigned projects
  • Maintain accurate job records and work orders
  • Inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
  • Perform basic maintenance on tools, equipment, and company property
  • Adjust work based on weather conditions and concrete curing requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • First Aid certification preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience operating heavy equipment and construction tools
  • Valid US Drivers License

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • Frequent bending, lifting, stooping, and standing
  • Strong manual dexterity and coordination
