Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring payroll processing, audit and validation are in place ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll for large groups of employees. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), manage complex payroll cycles, audit payroll data, calculate necessary adjustments, and handle tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Accuracy & Auditing: Conducting reconciliations and performing payroll audits to confirm compliance with internal controls and legal regulations.
- Process, tools and system Improvement: Identifying operational gaps, implementing new procedures, and enhancing overall efficiency.
- System Management: Utilizing both manual and advanced payroll systems to manage payroll data and generate reports.
- Escalation Support: Addressing complex payroll discrepancies and responding to high-level employee inquiries.
- Compliance & Reporting: Overseeing tax payments, year-end accountabilities, and payroll tax filings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of payroll experience, often including multi-state or international payroll.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) and payroll software.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll principles.
- Soft Skills: High level of confidentiality, analytical mindset, and strong communication skills.
- Certification: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
Additional Requirement
- Will be working on a graveyard shift e.g., 8 pm or 9 pm onwards, physically present onsite (Bacolod) to ensure stakeholders' needs, meetings, and payroll initiatives are attended
