The Opportunity: We are seeking a Controller to lead our accounting operations and serve as a key financial partner to leadership and operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a project-based, manufacturing, or construction environment and wants to play a meaningful role in driving financial performance and operational insight.
You'll ensure financial accuracy and compliance, and help turn financial data into decisions that improve cost control, margins, and long-term business outcomes.
What You’ll Do: Lead Financial Operations
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Deliver accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee audits.
Drive Cost & Operational Insight
- Oversee job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition.
- Analyze production costs, labor, and margins.
- Partner with operations to improve cost visibility and pricing decisions.
Support Strategic Planning
- Lead budgeting processes.
- Provide variance analysis and financial modeling.
Ensure Controls & Compliance
- Maintain internal controls, policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and lenders.
Manage Cash & Capital
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
Lead & Improve
- Develop and lead the accounting team (AP/AR).
- Drive system improvements, process efficiency, and automation.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including accounting leadership.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries.
- Strong background in job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition.
