Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will be skilled in various nursing practices. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of patients through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Shift is variable including some weekends

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

  • Monitor patients’ progress and respond to changes in their condition.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.

  • Educate patients and their families about health management, including home community care and senior care strategies.

  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

  • Participate in critical care transport when necessary, ensuring safe transfer of patients.

  • Uphold nursing standards and best practices within the healthcare facility.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.

  • Familiarity with healthcare systems and standards for patient care.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in nursing practices.
