Point University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Introduction to Sociology for its Dual Enrollment program, which serves students from public school systems, private schools, and homeschool settings. This is an IN-PERSON position.
The course provides a study of psychological structures and functions, designed to help students better understand themselves and others. This course is a prerequisite for all other courses in psychology.
Requirements
- A master’s degree or equivalent credential is preferred; a doctorate is preferred. Applicants with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the subject area or significant professional experience in a relevant field may be considered.
- In-Person position at a Savannah, GA school.
- Prior online teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
- Effective teaching ability/excellent communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Experience with Canvas LMS preferred
- Willingness to be a role model and mentor to students
- Commitment to undergraduate education, professional growth, service, and scholarship in a distinctively Christian setting, including agreement with the University’s mission and goals, values, and doctrinal statement.
