Key Responsibilities of our Senior Accountant

Financial Reporting & General Ledger

  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial statements
  • Lead month-end close activities, including key balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monitor the general ledger for unusual activity, coding inaccuracies, and posting issues
  • Consolidate financial results and provide variance analysis and insights to leadership

Fixed Assets & Capital Expenditures

  • Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and supporting documentation
  • Record fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers, and related activity
  • Support capital expenditure (CapEx) reporting and analysis
  • Improve fixed asset system reporting and data accuracy

Payroll & Compliance

  • Review payroll journal entries and payroll-related accruals for accuracy
  • Support sales and use tax filings and vendor compliance documentation
  • Assist with internal controls, audits, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline manual accounting processes
  • Improve reporting workflows and system utilization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance accounting tools, documentation, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Strong general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliation experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience with payroll and fixed asset systems preferred.
