We are seeking a Material Handler on 1st shift to join our team at Foster Manufacturing! 

Schedule: Monday- Friday

Shift:1st  7:00am - 3:30pm

Job Summary:

Provides parts-handling for production department, assisting with weight-counting incoming parts from suppliers and other duties as needed

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Parts handling for production
  • Weight counting incoming parts from suppliers when needed
  • Working as needed in production area
  • Dumping out box carts into recycling bin
  • Empty metal chip bins into recycling bins
  • Emptying trash in the shop
  • Other duties as required

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills including active listening.
  • Must be comfortable and efficient in working in a busy open-floor environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as individually
  • Must be able to multitask and possess decision making skills for prioritizing workload
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass Basic Skills Test as required by ISO
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs on a frequent basis

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing entire shift
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 70 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to bend and twist throughout the entire shift.
