Job Description:

  • Focus on total crop recovery

  • Familiar with crop production parameters and variables  influencing total yield

  • Ensure compliance to environmental, safety, and health laws and corporate guidelines

  • Familiar with the law and insurance requirements. Ability to assess hazards and manage to minimize risk.

  • Prepare documents such as reports, presentations and other

  • Confident communicator whether writing, verbal or presentation to group

  • Manage the estate to ensure that targets are achieved through effective use of labour, land, plant machinery and finances

  • Proven ability to manage large numbers of  employees, resolving issues, solving problems and maximising labour productivity

  • Prepare a draft operating budget and operate within the approved estate budget

  • Familiar with budget concepts,  knowledgeable on labour and materials costs

  • Contribute to long term strategic planning and programming

    Innovative, committed to continuous improvement, demonstrated by improved productivity for the work force

  • Repair and maintain buildings, houses and the estate infrastructure

  • Maintenance and repairs up to date and completed within budget cost

  • Work with visiting technical experts to maximized the return to the estate from investment in their time; personnel keep abreast of industry best practice

  • Good reports from visiting agents, prompt and willing implementation of changes recommended by visiting agents.

  • Promote continuous operations improvement through ISO 9000/14000 procedures and RSPO

    Familiar with requirements for accreditation, committed to achieving and ,maintaining those standards

  • Other duties as and when required by the management

    Willingness to undertake other work for the benefit of the department
