Working closely with the Director of Engineering, this position is responsible for designing new and innovative products and bringing vision to reality when it comes to new ides. Huish Outdoors is home to the best brands in dive. This position helps to design products that dominate the market and grow our industry. Ultimately responsible for developing products that are known for innovation, quality, reliability and that leave our customers saying "WoW!"

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Provide expertise in the following areas: engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, product design and project management.
• Design and develop innovative products that dominate our market and grow our industry.
• Manage new product development lifecycle. Including but not limited to delegating design requirements, sourcing materials, testing materials and products, and vendor communications.
• Assist in maintenance of Quality Management System. Create quality control (QC) processes and procedures.
• Audit QC and manufacturing processes and procedures for existing product lines; Ensure scalability and sustainability.
• Create action plans for quality issues as they appear. Work to catch QC problems before they become widespread issues.
• Create engineering drawings and work instructions for production team. Ensure instructions are easily understood.
• Work with purchasing team to forecast inventory required to maintain production levels.
• Provide technical support to dealers and customer care team.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in related field with 5 or more years work experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Solidworks suite and other CAD and design software.
• Expert ability to communicate effectively with others including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to others.
• Expert ability to model Huish Outdoors's commitment to a respectful, diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
• Expert ability to assertively solve strategic problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Demonstrated success managing projects to completion with minimal oversight and against aggressive timelines.
• Expert ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
