Job Description

As a Bartender:

You are passionate about creating a unique guest experience by crafting both traditional and innovative cocktails. You take a personalized approach to customer service, and you exceed customers’ expectations. You hold yourself to the highest standards by prescribing to and abiding by company and state liquor regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily by requisitioning and stocking all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce according to established policies
  • Greet all guests warmly and sincerely, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
  • Prepare and present drinks adhering to our standard recipes
  • Ability to practice prudent portion control while pouring beverages
  • Operate the POS system and other required software, including processing credit card and cash transactions
  • Ensure the work areas are clean and that the equipment, tools and supplies are properly stored
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
  • Check identification to avoid underage drinking
  • Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and enhancing the promotion of beverages
  • Take and serve food orders for guests seated at the bar
  • Restock and replenish all bar inventory and supplies
  • Recognize and learn the names of regular customers
  • Foster and maintain a favorable working relationship with all other staff members

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a TABC and Food Handlers certification before employment begins
  • Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • POS (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Punctual and reliable attendance is required
  • 2 plus years of experience in a high-volume establishment is required
  • Must be well-groomed and professionally dressed following uniform standards
  • Must have attention for detail, and a passion for serving Guests
  • Positive and professional attitude in every aspect of the position
  • Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time; capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.; ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions during shifts.
