Securitas Canada is hiring Event Security for our client at the Fifa World Cup 2026! We are looking for individuals experienced in event security but also those that are looking to learn more about the industry. Your customer service skills are top notch, and you have the ability to de-escalate and enforce protocols and procedures at the site. As it will be very busy during the World Cup, vigilance and professionalism is key. From emerging small businesses to progressive big brands, the site animates 100,000 sq ft with art, retail, events and public space.

Position Overview:
Position: Event Security Guard
Wages: $19.00/hr
Status: Temporary Full Time or Part Time (June 1 to July 31, 2026, contract position)
Start Date: June 1, 2026 (No exceptions, you must be able to begin working on this date)
Shift timings: TBD but will require flexible availability of days, afternoons, overnights and weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
- Monitor guard activity and ensure posts are filled at all times.
- Manage book offs and ensure site coverage to meet client needs.
- Update client and Securitas management on progress.
- Ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
- Deter any and all trespassers, unwanted individuals from the site.
- Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
- Access control duties, ensuring only authorized persons are given access to the site.
- Foot patrols when required, ensuring all access areas are secure.
- Static security duties, maintaining a presence and ensuring the safety of all persons.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
- 2 years of security supervisor or team lead experience minimum in event security preferred.
Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
- Customer service experience is a strong asset.
