Job Description
Description:

Tyto Athene is looking to hire an Apps Manager for a multi-year contract performing at Fort Meade, Maryland. The Apps Manager leads the design, development, and maintenance of customized software and database applications. This position oversees the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for both custom legacy applications and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) integrations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a centralized development team following ITIL best practices.
  • Identify actual or potential problems with recommendations for viable alternative solutions.
  • Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software.
  • Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge regarding application architecture, functionality, workflow development, and development tools.
  • Monitor and maintain application portfolio(s) and necessary web-based applications.
  • Perform stress testing on the web storage system, dashboard site, servers, and web parts to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Troubleshoot software problems and debugging code.
  • Perform SharePoint administration to configure settings that affect the system.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field and at least five years of relevant work experience or High School diploma with at least seven years of relevant work experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Expert-level skills in creating complex SharePoint sites, user controls, dashboards, and workflows

Desired:

  • Advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Developer and ITIL v3/v4.
  • Experience with Virtual Desktop environments.
  • DOD 8570 Compliant Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
