Location:  Great Neck & Huntington



Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; 8:30am-5pm

What you’ll do: 



Responsibilities/Duties:




  • Enter the patient room with the physician during patient visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation utilizing electronic medical record applications. 

  • Accurately record history of present illness, physical exam findings, assessments, and treatment plans

  • Assist with documenting orthopedic-specific procedures, injections, imaging review, and post-operative follow-ups

  • Transcribe patient orders as directed by the provider including, but not limited to (medications, imaging, labs, referrals)

  • Update problem lists, past medical history, medications, and allergies

  • Prepare and complete progress notes, operative notes, and discharge instructions

  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA/OSHA regulations

  • Support providers to ensure efficient clinic workflow and timely chart completion

  • Light Medical Assistant duties on high volume days

  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary
