About This Role

Join our veterinary team as a full-time Credentialed Veterinary Technician and make a real difference in animal care every day. You'll work alongside our experienced DVMs to provide exceptional patient care while helping our hospital run smoothly and efficiently.


This position requires an active state credential: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)


What Success Looks Like

  • Clinical Performance: Conducts exams, diagnostic tests, and in-house lab work. Assists in surgery, monitors anesthesia, and manages post-operative recovery.

  • Patient Care & Handling: Manages triage and medical histories. Employs safe, low-stress restraint techniques to ensure patient and staff safety.

  • Client Communication: Provides clear updates on patient status and treatment plans. Collaborates closely with the veterinary team to ensure seamless care.

  • Medical Management: Administers medications and manages prescriptions. Maintains precise medical records, including controlled drug logs and shift handoffs.

  • Team Coordination: Supports hospital operations through peer training, departmental floating, and participating in on-call rotations.


What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Must have current state certification (CVT)
  • Exceptional animal handling skills with the ability to work safely with pets of all temperaments
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary medical procedures, laboratory techniques, and pharmaceutical calculations
  • Confidence with anesthesia monitoring, dental cleanings, and radiography
  • Proficiency with venipuncture including IV catheter placement and blood draws 
  • Experienced with medication administration (PO, SQ, IM, IV) and vaccine administration
  • Deep knowledge of prescription medications to effectively instruct clients with home care instructions
  • Excellent attention to detail in monitoring patients and maintaining medical records
  • Effective communication skills with team members and clients

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • CVT, LVT, or RVT certification required
  • 3+ years of experience with the details listed above
  • Confidence with anesthesia monitoring and assisting in surgical procedures, including dentals
  • Inventory control and orthopedic surgery experience a plus but not required
