Job Description

The Food Truck Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of Cleveland Metroparks mobile food vehicle that prepares and serves food and beverages.

Essential Functions:

  1. Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
  2. Oversees the food truck operation including pre-shift food prep, assists in preparing and serving food and beverages, helps run food preparation lines, and takes customer orders.
  3. Effectively supervises assigned employees through planning, organizing and prioritizing work assignments.
  4. Trains personnel in techniques, procedures and policies.
  5. Provides outstanding customer service to all customers and the general public.
  6. Operates a point of sale (POS) system and accounts for daily sales while following cash control procedures.
  7. Sells and serves alcoholic beverages according to Ohio Department of Liquor Control regulations/standards.
  8. Follows all health and safety requirements of the Cuyahoga County Health Department and state regulations.
  9. Ensures the serving area (i.e., restaurant, bar area, and kitchen) is clean, well-organized, and presentable in compliance with the Board of Health Standards.
  10. Performs inventory control completes weekly inventory sheets and daily restocking of product/supplies.
  11. Performs opening and closing procedures.
  12. Drives the food truck to various locations throughout the park district for events.
  13. Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
  14. Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
  15. Greets all customers and answers questions; responds to inquiries from employees, customers and refers, when necessary, to appropriate staff.
  16. Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
