Route Driver - 4 hours a day.  There is the potential for support with getting your CDL and appropriate endorsements.  

 

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 

• Experience in driving and operating procedures for buses, vans and other vehicles.


• Knowledge of current laws and regulations governing school transportation.


• Understanding of transportation safety practices and procedures.


• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and community members.


• Documented good driving record.


• Oregon CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements required.


• First aid/CPR certification required.


• High school diploma or GED. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Including, but not limited to, continuous sitting, driving, grasping and repetitive raising and pushing, as in operating foot controls. Frequent pushing, pulling and reaching. Must be able to lift a maximum of 75 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

 

COMPENSATION:

Current salary range is $22.26 - $29.31 per hour (depending on level of experience and education). Position is for 4 hours per day with a pro-rated benefit package. Possibility of additional hours with activity/athletic trips as well as other duties.
