Summary:
The elements of the position are as follows: Keep building in clean and orderly condition. Duties involve a combination of the following: sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing trash and recyclables, dusting furniture or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; and cleaning lavatories, showers, toilets, urinals, walls and restroom sinks. Ensure that restrooms and janitorial closets are clean and stocked. Comply with requirements identified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Contract Task Order (CTO) 4 & 5.

This position may be assigned to first or second shift and some weekend duty may be required.
The pay rate for this position is $25.17/hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports the company and NASA established goals and objectives, with emphasis on workplace safety policy and guidelines.
- Positive verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
- Ability to work safely, independently or with teams.
- Must be courteous with positive customer service skills
- Detailed oriented and must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to assist in special events during load in and load out process of materials and supplies to include cleaning of all tables, chairs, trash receptacles, recyclable receptacles and canopies
- Ability to maintain a single stream recycling program
- Ability to maintain material control of the recycling lot for various commodities
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly recycling lot

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift heavy items from 5-50 pounds continuously.
- Possess a clean DMV driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards and safety precautions of the janitorial work.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Demonstrates good customer relations skills.
- Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures.

Physical Demands
- Work requires long periods of walking, standing, bending, stooping, squatting and climbing and the use of stools.

- Lifting is required between 5-50 lbs.
