Starting Salary Scale: $35,000 – $37,000 a year 



Calendar Year: 195 days 



Must work all scheduled calendar days in Colorado

Purpose of Job: 



The Work Based Learning and Internship Liaison will manage work-based learning for high school students for specified GOAL Regional Sites.  



Brief Description of Duties: 





  • Plans, implements, and markets the work-based learning (WBL). 







  • Recruits, enrolls, and monitors students in the WBL programs. 







  • Plans and assists in the development of the work-based learning materials. 







  • Conducts orientation for students identified for the work-based learning program. 







  • Trains work-based learning supervisor on procedures. 







  • Monitors work sites to ensure that quality training is taking place. 







  • Coordinates communication of work-based learning “success stories” with local businesses. 







  • Ensures that all work positions are documented with a site agreement and specific agreement and that necessary signatures have been acquired. 







  • Ensures all documentation reflective of work-based learning assignments have been completed including, but not limited to, training records, periodic evaluations, and time sheet. 







  • Coordinates transportation of students to work sites, when appropriate. 







  • Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement. 







  • Performs other duties as assigned. 





Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   





  • Will serve as the designated point person for all internal and external-facing communication regarding the coordination of work-based learning experiences for students. 







  • Responsible for preparing students for work-based learning experiences that meet are aligned with GOAL’s Mission, Vision and policies regarding WBL. 







  • Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, administrators, and other school personnel to ensure that work-based learning experiences become embedded in the school culture. 







  • Promote an increased awareness of the value of essential career skills and their critical connection to employability while reinforcing the positive impact these skills can have on their own performance during the work-based learning experience. 







  • Work with school personnel to determine the degree of individual support, training, and coaching that will be needed to ensure that students are adequately prepared to participate in all facets of work-based learning experiences. 







  • Attend local community meetings in support of WBL and strengthening community relations. 







  • Works in collaboration with teachers to build connections in the classroom. 







  • Communicates with and works in collaboration with the Department, Site, and Regional staff. 







  • Creates a positive learning environment that promotes high expectations and provides opportunities for all students to experience success. 







  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community partners. 







  • Communicate with students, parents, school staff to ensure that students are on-track in their learning and making progress towards goals. 







  • Ability to perform other duties assigned in order to meet the specific needs of the GOAL High School and its students.

Required Qualifications: 





  • 2-3 years’ experience in youth development and/or community outreach 







  • Proficiency with office technology including training or experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams 





Preferred Qualifications:  





  • Bachelor’s Degree or Related Management Experience 







  • Bi-lingual 







  • Previous experience working in school-based programs 







  • Strong ties to local business community
