Job Description

Description

  • Sets up and runs CNC machines independently, including tool changes and offsets.
  • Advanced Skills in reading CNC programming and machining techniques
  • Troubleshoots machining and programming issues.
  • Conducts in-process inspections and final quality checks using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with blueprints.
  • Collaborates with programmers and engineers to optimize processes, improve cycle times, and reduce scrap rates.
  • Uses a variety of machinist tools and precision measuring instruments. 
  • Knowledge of advanced tooling, cutting strategies, and multi-axis machining
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Operate heavy equipment including crane/hoist systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Requirements

·         High school diploma, or GED.

·         3-5 years machining experience.    

·         Experience with Haas, Mazak, and Fanuc controls.  

·         Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and juggle multiple assignments.   

·         Experience with lean manufacturing principles.  

·         Ability to read customer specs, blueprints, measuring equipment and all other tools required by the position.  

·         Advanced skills programming CNC machines (lathes, mills etc.) 

·         Lifting requirements of up to 50# 

·         Self-driven and hard worker 

·         Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision. 

·         Flexible to work shifts, overtime and weekends as required. 

·         Familiarity with safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
