Purpose



Analyze current process and systems for the aluminum casting, cold rolling, and slitting. Maintain systems in optimum condition by reviewing monthly KPIs. Develop plans and execute them to improve workflow. Support the manufacturing department by implementing improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.



 



Job Description




  • Responsible for overseeing the established processes and report status on a weekly and monthly basis.

  • Responsible for process audits and to determine the effectiveness of current flow status and well as design new audits.

  • Develop engineering studies and reports as required.

  • Compares actual status of process, determines conformity to requirements and drives changes when required with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and other teams as required.

  • Compares actual status of process against ideal flows and identifies opportunities for improvement.

  • Problem solving activity for customer related issues and internal issues, able to analyze different situations and apply tools for problem solving such as, 3 legged 5 why, fishbone diagram, Red X and DMAIC (Six Sigma).

  • Develop best practices, routines and checks to improve production quality and rates of output.

  • Strong analytical abilities to examine an organization's operating procedures and make recommendations.

  • Communicate project objectives to team members and maintain close contact to coordinate activities with other groups within the departments.

  • Work with outside vendors and representatives as required.

  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning related technical issues.

  • Provide leadership to group to ensure that Company safety goals are met.
