Job Title:  Substitute Teacher for Millard Public Schools           


Job Code: 1535


 


Number of Days Worked:  Varies based on needs of the district.  (120 Max) There are no guarantees that the employee will be called to work.


Department:  ESU #3 Substitute Program


FLSA Status:  Exempt


Immediate District Supervisor: District designated personnel


ESU #3 Supervisor:  Director, Business Services


Staff Supervised:  None


 


Essential Requirements:


 



  • No history of child abuse or negligence.



  • Must hold a valid Nebraska teaching certificate and placed on file in the ESU #3 Business Services Department by the Substitute Teacher.



  • Ability to instruct and manage students.



  • Ability to work with parents and staff.



  • Ability to be an effective communicator with organizational and interpersonal skills.



  • Possess flexibility in job assignments.



  • Must be punctual and dependable.



  • Must display a professional attitude.


 


Essential Responsibilities:



  1. Understand and comply with the ESU #3 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook.

  2. Understand and comply with the district’s Policies and Sub Teacher Handbook expectations of the substitute.

  3. Other duties as assigned.
