- Title: Theology Teacher
- Department: Reports to Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction
- Classification: Full time for 2026-2027 school year
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., plus scheduled events with required attendance.

Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
- Follow the faculty expectations outlined in St. Pius X Employee Handbook.
- Engage in spiritual formation programming.
- Serve as a student advisor.
- Moderate, direct, coach, or lead an organized student group, activity, or sport.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
- Be familiar and enforce Student Handbook policies.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust strategies.
- Prepare required reports on students and activities.
- Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and needs.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
- Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests and assignments in a timely fashion and update systems accordingly.
- Communicate and partner with parents in a timely manner.
- Participate in student/faculty activities (such as retreats, advisory, faculty meetings, in-service)
- Follow school emergency procedures.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by the Department Chair, Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction, Principal, or President.
