Job Description

Job Summary

Moneta is seeking a Director of Custodial Referral Programs to lead and optimize one of the firm’s most important client acquisition channels. This individual will own the strategy, execution, and performance of Moneta’s participation in custodial referral platforms.

This role is responsible for maximizing referral flow, improving conversion rates, enhancing advisor engagement, and strengthening strategic relationships. The Director will serve as the internal and external leader for custodial referral programs, ensuring Moneta delivers a best-in-class experience that converts qualified referrals into long-term client relationships.

This is a highly visible role that directly contributes to the firm’s organic growth and national expansion strategy.

 Essential Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Strategy

  • Own the overall strategy, execution, and performance of Moneta’s custodial referral platforms.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to increase referral volume and conversion rates
  • Monitor program performance, KPIs, and ROI; implement continuous improvement initiatives

Referral Management & Conversion Optimization

  • Oversee the intake, triage, and distribution of Custodian referrals 
  • Design and optimize referral routing protocols to ensure best-fit advisor alignment
  • Track referral progress through the pipeline from introduction to client onboarding
  • Identify and eliminate friction points in the referral-to-client conversion process
  • Partner with advisors to improve consultation effectiveness and conversion outcomes

Advisor Enablement & Accountability

  • Train and coach advisors on best practices for Custodian referral engagement and conversion
  • Establish expectations, service standards, and response timelines for referral handling
  • Monitor advisor responsiveness, engagement, and conversion performance
  • Provide performance reporting and feedback to advisors and leadership

Reporting, Analytics & Optimization

  • Develop dashboards and reporting to track:
    • Referral volume
    • Conversion rates
    • Time to conversion
    • Revenue generated
    • Advisor performance
    • Program ROI
  • Provide regular reporting to executive leadership
  • Partner with Moneta’s analytics and technology teams to improve tracking and automation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in wealth management, RIA business development, or custodial referral programs
  • Direct experience working with Schwab Advisor Network, Fidelity Wealth Advisor Solutions, or similar custodial referral platforms strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of wealth management client acquisition and advisory process
  • Proven track record of managing referral pipelines and driving conversion outcomes
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and operational mindset
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across advisory, marketing, and operations teams
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
