Company Description

At Zayo Europe, we’re driven by a bold vision to power the world through connectivity. We’ve built and operated the critical fibre networks that keep businesses, communities, and economies connected. In 2024, we embarked on an exciting new chapter as a standalone company — a milestone that empowers us to innovate, grow, and lead with greater agility. As we continue to evolve, our mission remains clear: to deliver fast, reliable, and scalable infrastructure that fuels the digital world.

As a Senior Deal Manager, you will lead the end-to-end architecture and delivery of complex, high-value, strategic deals. Operating at the centre of each opportunity, you will align cross-functional stakeholders, shape commercial strategy, and drive clear, outcome-focused execution.
You will combine strong market awareness, commercial instinct, and financial acumen to structure competitive deals, simplify complexity, and deliver results in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end deal lifecycle, from bid sign-on through submission, approval, and contract negotiation.
  • Act as the deal architect, partnering with go-to-market teams to define commercial structures, shape bid strategy, and improve win rates while balancing growth, profitability, risk, and market dynamics.
  • Own and drive bid management, ensuring pace, structure, and quality across all stages.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Product, Operations, Pre-Sales, Finance), aligning priorities and enabling effective decision-making.
  • Structure and simplify complex deals, synthesizing inputs into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Own pricing strategy and positioning, developing competitive offers, including bundles and tailored commercial constructs.
  • Apply strong understanding of the competitive landscape to shape differentiated deal positioning.
  • Own governance and approvals, ensuring compliance while maintaining deal momentum.
  • Lead contract negotiations, aligning commercial intent with contractual commitments.
  • Own deal financials and modelling, optimising structures to maximise profitability and long-term value.
  • Identify and manage commercial, financial, and contractual risks proactively.
  • Drive accountability and momentum, ensuring high-quality, timely outcomes.
  • Lead post-deal reviews, embedding learnings to improve win rates and execution.
What Success Looks Like
  • Deals are well-structured, competitive, and executed with pace and ownership.
  • Complex opportunities are translated into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Commercial outcomes consistently deliver strong profitability and win rates.
  • Pricing and deal structures are optimised to maximise value.
  • Stakeholders are aligned and decisions are made efficiently.
  • Continuous improvement drives better deal quality and financial performance.
  • You are recognised as a trusted commercial leader who delivers results.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in telecom or strong understanding of telecom products and solutions.
  • Proven track record leading complex, high-value deals, including bids and negotiations.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience in pricing and deal modelling.
  • Understanding of competitive positioning across products and geographies.
  • Ability to simplify complexity and drive structured decision-making.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and clients.
